Refilling & Nectar Recipe
Change nectar regularly all season: once a week during mild weather; twice a week (or more) during excessively hot weather. Discard any unused nectar in feeder.
Use Nectar Mix (sold separately) or make your own of a 1:4 solution of white sugar and boiled water (¼ c. of sugar to every 1 c. of boiled water); cool the mixture completely before filling feeder. Do not use honey, gelatin, brown sugar, molasses, artificial sweeteners or red dye in homemade nectar.
Care & Cleaning
Glass is not frost-proof. For longest life and enjoyment, bring these feeders inside at the end of each season (once hummingbirds have migrated and before winter) to prevent freezing and cracking.
