Made in America this one-of-a-kind Handcrafted Small Copper Frog on Lily Pad Garden Stake will be an artistic addition to any flowerbed or large planter. An original design by artist Catherine Murphy the whimsical copper frog is hand formed to feature an open mouth and swirled eyes. He sits on the top lily pad contemplating his leap to the next one. Both lily pads adorning the cooper-coated steel stake have a lovely patina finish. The durable clear coat glaze protects the copper frog accent from the elements ensuring years of outdoor use. From working the high rises as a construction welder to building power plants and paper mills artisan Catherine Murphy has managed to use her creative skills in the medium of metal. Attending craft workshops and numerous welding schools led her to the beauty of copper. She was able to combine her technical skills and love of metal with her favorite childhood school projects–creating insects! Many insects later her inspiration has grown to include all of nature’s creatures. Each piece is created in her riverside studio Haw Creek Forge in Asheville North Carolina.
