Vintage St. Francis with Cross Statue
Let local wildlife know you are a true animal lover when you display this Vintage St. Francis with Cross Statue. This antique reproduction displays a pocked and pitted texture with somewhat eroded detail to give the appearance of years of natural weathering. This St. Francis statue shows the patron saint of animals wearing a traditional hooded cloak and rosary, with a large cross in one hand and a small bird nestled securely in his palm. Handcrafted in the USA of solid cast-stone, this vintage-style statue is made with integrated coloring and is sealed for outdoor use.
Born Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone, the man who became St. Francis of Assisi lived from 1182 to 1226. He inspired those around him by dedicating his life to carrying out the work of Christ, in Christ's own way. St. Francis referred to all creatures as his "brothers" and "sisters" and was even known to preach to the birds.
