View the world differently while you enjoy the look of yesteryear with this Mercury Dime Magnifying Glass. As handsome as it is handy, the silver-colored magnifying glass is beautifully engraved with a classic scrollwork design. Accented with touches of black, the brushed finish gives each Mercury dime magnifying glass the look of antique silver. Its handle is adorned with a genuine Mercury dime, struck of .900 fine silver from 1916-1945. Designed by Adolph Weinman, this ten-cent coin is also known as the "Winged Liberty Head" dime. The coin gained its common name because the obverse depicts a young Liberty, identifiable by her winged Phrygian cap, who was mistaken to be the Roman god Mercury. The coin's reverse depicts fasces, symbolizing unity and strength, and an olive branch, signifying peace. A lovely and welcome addition to any collector's home or office desk. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
