Our Dragon Steamer adds healthful moisture to the air and dresses up your wood stove at the same time. The steam puffs out of the dragon's nostrils for a fun and functional way to combat dry winter air.

Using your wood stove generates much needed heat yet dries the air. An energy-efficient alternative to electric humidifiers, our long-lasting cast iron steamer is an easy, low-tech way to combat dry air, relieve allergies and asthma symptoms, and create a more comfortable, healthy living environment for people, pets and plants. Add essential oils, cinnamon sticks, cloves or potpourri for a pleasant fragrance and aromatherapy.

The design adds a charming touch to your wood burning stove in any season - it makes a great conversation piece, as well as a unique gift! This wood stove accessory also works with pellet stoves, coal stoves and corn-burning stoves.

This wood stove steamer holds approx. 2½ quarts of water, so it can even stay on overnight.

  • Durable cast iron wood stove steamer with whimsical green dragon design
  • Steam "puffs" out of the dragon's nostrils
  • Generous 2½ quart capacity means you can leave it on your stove overnight
  • Matte green enamel finish inside and out resists rust, maintains its appearance

Care and Cleaning

Seasoning
You can season your steamer just like a cast iron skillet. Wipe the entire steamer, inside and out, with food-grade vegetable oil that has a high smoking point (soybean, canola). Place it in a 400 degree oven for 30-60 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Repeat as needed.

Storage
Wash with warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush. Rinse well and dry thoroughly before storage. Keep in a cool, dry place with the lid off. Place 2-3 paper towels inside to help absorb any moisture/humidity that may accumulate.

Rust Removal
Rust will naturally occur. Remove it from your cast iron steamer with a piece of fine-grade sandpaper. Rinse the steamer, dry thoroughly with a soft towel, then re-season.
