Cindy Schmidt lives in central New York state and is a self-taught artist. While she does admit that she took a drawing course and a sculpture course during her college career, that's about the extent of her formal training! She began painting in 1994 and, after a few evolutions, settled on painting portraits and seascapes. Right now she's focused on creating fantasy, fairy tale paintings and The Cranky Cat Collection. Living with her family and cats near Lake Ontario, Cindy says the long winters are conducive to intense painting!
