The Vintage Copper Batik Stamp was used to produce the traditional Indonesian batik fabrics known worldwide for their stunning colors and intricate patterns. The antique stamp—called a cap—is used to apply wax to fabric that is then dyed—often many times with multiple wax patterns applied and removed each time—to create the distinctive batik fabric.
Each stamp will be completely unique (the stamps shown are examples only) ensuring no one else has one exactly like yours. The craftsman's handle remains intact, and it has a keyhole for wall mounting. Or just set the vintage stamp on a table or mantel where guests can spy it and get the conversation started with "What in the world is that?" We'll let you take it from there.
