Switch trouble

Reviewed on: 12/23/2011 12:00:00 AM

I love this flashlight. The threads are well made, with "O" rings and grease at each one,but the switch stopped working after a few uses. Here is what I found,(it's an easy fix). If you unscrew the large head of the light, you will see the switch mounted on a small PC board. This moves and can be pulled out.The rubber button you press is mushroom shaped and engages the plunger of the switch. It slips off the plunger because the PC board moves a bit when the head is tightened. The black and red wires pull the switch a littleas the head is screwed on. Push the PC board in fully. and twist the head a few turns counter clockwise,so when you screw the head back on the wires will be straight, and not pull the switch out at all. Hope this helps, as this is IMO an excellent item. Sully

It's our favorite flashlight

We love this flashlight! The first one we received broke after 6 weeks of use (the off/on switch quit working), but W & W replaced it free and we use the new one all the time!

lovely but serious quality issues

This flashlight has a truly impressive number of LEDs and is quite bright, in other words it is candy for us flashlight nerds. However, right out of the box the battery compartment was poorly made so that a blob of solder was necessary for one of the batteries to make contact. Within a day the on/off switch had broken so the only way to turn it on and off is to insert and remove the battery compartment. In fact its best use may be as a paperweight. Too bad.

had to return

I never could get it to work. Inserted the batteries as directed and nothing ever happened. Used numerous batteries to insure they were not the cause. Was very disappointed as I had high expectations for the product.

Very bright!

I bought two of these flashlights as gifts and neither would work out of the box. We finally determined that the battery contact points were slightly bent and a small adjustment fixed everything. It happened on both flashlights. Now working, they're very bright and handy to have around for power outages, etc.
