The unit was easy to set-up and will wait for the Atomic clock to set itself. Product description state that both the inside station & outside sensor units use 2 AAA batteries. That is not true. The station uses 2 AAA batteries and the sensor uses 2 AA batteries. Other than same type batteries being a purchase point, I'll just have to adjust to stocking two types of batteries, a minor agrevation I was trying to avoid.

i just bought this instrument and love it because i can easily tell ihe temperature both inside and out plus the added feature of an accurate clock. i need this because i always worry about whether or not it is freezing outside and need to be concerned about sub freezing problems like slippery roads.great product, great value. i think i'll buy one as a gift , too.

I ordered two of these units for upstairs and downstairs in my home. They were shipped perfectly, the bubble plastic was VERY easy to open (no knife or scissors needed) and I had the units up and running in a manner of minutes. Each of them is now receiving two external sensor readings so I have one in the back of my house and one in the front. All is working perfectly. My only VERY small complaints are I wish the units had some sort of light I could tap or activate to illuminate them in dark rooms. And one of the units has yet to sync up with the Atomic Clock on Boulder. One of them did, but then the sync icon went away, so perhaps it only does it certain intervals? Anyway...either of these is pretty small concerns and I love having these two units in my home.

This looks good so far. I wanted two outdoor sensors (outside and greenhouse) and this product delivers that capability. It took a while to figure out how to read both sensors, but it really is easy to set up. The daily min/max readings are very useful.
