not quite convinced

So far the hygrometer is not performing. I tried doing as the instructions suggested as to reseting the dial, but the instructions are quite vague. If it doesn't apprear to correct itself I am returning it. The only thing I accomplished by following the instructions was to warp the wood on the back side. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift but I did not want to WAIT that long to see if it would work. So far I have had BAD experiences with any of the hygrometers I've purchased. Shouldn't be rocket science for the device to perform correctly.

A Christmas present for my husband. He liked the wood that the components were mounted on, but the components did not work at all - none of them. Very disappointed. I became very frustrated and threw it away. What a waste. I was sorry that I bought for him.

Very disappointing

So much for German engineering. Despite weather varying from heavy rain to as hot and dry as the desert gets, the barometer has never moved. No directions with product. I called for help, followed the verbal instructions, including setting the barometer by my local NWS station, and the product simply does not function. The other two gauges are OK, however.
