I got this for my parent's house just before Christmas 2011. To disclose, I didn't pay for it-I received it as a review product for my blog. My parents live on a lake and it can get breezy from time to time. This is the best gift I've ever given to them. It's great for the person with everything and it's great for people that love being outside or near a window where they can look outside. On still days, it doesn't light up or spin. It's just a twirled piece of plastic. It's made well and I think it will last for many years. With wind around 5mph, it spins slowly and gives off some light. It's beautiful, and it gets more beautiful when the winds pick up. It's easy to put together. I'm thinking about buying one for myself. We don't get much wind here, but it is worth the wait for the amazing show you get. I wanted something unique, and it is. Everyone loves it! Just remember, if it isn't windy, it isn't going to be a garden centerpiece. A little wind changes everything though!I could watch it for hours at a time. The only con is the fact that it doesn't do anything if there is no wind. It would be nice if it had a solar panel so you could at least see it when it wasn't windy. Other than that, it's the greatest gift ever!!!
