Is mine defective?
Comments about Product: Our director gave us one for our first grade classroom. It's beautiful. I was instantly mesmerized, but noticed that after a few months, it is no longer accurate. The bubbles do not change, and the temperature no longer matches our classroom thermostat temperature reading. I was wanting to buy one for my house, but now I'm not so sure. :(
Comments about Product: This was a gift for my husband. He immediately responded with surprise and delight. He also knew immediately where he wanted to put it - like he was holding a spot for it! Great gift, multi-functional - I am going to buy one for my office.
Comments about Product: I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He was thriller. He immediately figured the temperature inside the house. Then he took it outside. After awhile he checked the temperature. Both reading were correct. It looks just like the picture. Great colors in the water floaters and perfect craftsmanship.
It will be on his desk at work where many will see it. A temperature gauge, conversation piece, and will add color to his office.
Comments about Product: I gave four stars instead of five only because I was expecting the frame to feel like solid wood and it doesn't. It actually has somewhat of a plastic feel.
Other than that it is beautiful, works accurately, and is a unique and perfect gift to give. This is especially true if you're looking for that someone "Who already has everything."
Comments about Product: causes interest and conversation, looks pretty on my bookcase. surprisingly accurate, I have checked it against 2 other thermometers.kids are facinated with how it can possibly tell the temperature
Comments about Product: This is the best-looking thermometer of all time! It's accurate, it's gorgeous, and it's fun! All of my friends are fascinated by it, and so am I. What a fabulous piece of functional art! Highly recommend!
Comments about Product: We have Galileo thermometer that was purchased several years ago and have really enjoyed it. So we bought two of these thermometers for gifts this Christmas. We tested each unit and discovered that the balls stick at the top and the bottom. If you want to know the temperature, you need to jiggle it to free up the balls. As many as 4 balls will then float up or down depending on the temperature change. Both new units worked the same. Our old thermometer never does this.
Comments about Product: THis is a beautiful gift for a someone who likes to track temperature, weather. The touch of wood adds class to any home/office environment. This was a gift to my Vice President for his office at work and he loves it! Great gift!
Comments about Product: absolutely beautiful addition to the living room. My house is usually very cold or very hot depending on the season and I'm always curious as to just how hot or cold it is in here - this tells me the temp in the most beautiful way. The wood frame is very nice and I think this design would fit in any decor from Early American to Modern. I like just looking at it!
Comments about Product: My daughter has it beautifully displayed. Your price was substantially lower than what I found elsewhere for the very same product. My only complaint is that the surround looks more like plastic than like wood. I didn't pick it up and examine it that closely, but that was my impression.
