Almost a bad review!

I purchased 2 units, as gifts. The one in our house failed after just 2 months. The display only partially showed. I contacted cust. serv., and it was promptly replaced. Husband uses it to let him know the conditions going to his car in the am, as well as the time. It is installed in the upstairs of a tri-level. The replacement works fine so far, and the second unit has not had any problems. My elderly Mother uses it, to tell the weather in the north, before she goes out.

good until outdoor sensor stopped

Device was a bit complicated due to no instruction manual which I was able to obtain on-line. Once set up the in/out door device worked very well. However, the outdoor device stopped recording the temp and I changed batteries - still doesn't record. This device is about 5 years old so, for the price, I am willing to invest in another one and hope I get results; if not I will return it. At the same time I purchased this one, I ordered one for my daughter and hers never worked - hope I am lucky again.

Good when it works

I liked it enought to purchase a second one after the first transmitter stopped working. I have been using the second one for about 10 months and now the second transmitter stopped working! I am not buying anymore of these. I wish they sold the transmitter by itself.

Easy-read, functional in/out thermometer

Hit the Spot

I have several in/out therometers and forecasters in my home. I bought these for gifts and was very pleased with the design and size of the numbers. The red frame is really red, but the blue one is more navy than blue, which, of course, does not affect the operation of the unit. I would recommend these to a friend who just wants to check the in or out temps and the current date/time on a unit that looks good too. Have to reset daylight savings time yourself, though.

Erratic Behavior

This instrument is designed to show outdoor temperatures to a tenth of a degree yet it changes temperatures by full degrees. I am comparing it to another instrument by another company and three outdoor thermometers. This is the most erratic and least accurate of the group. The price is excellent if you are not that fussy about accuracy.

Very nice clock/thermometer

Works very well, but difficult to read in low light. I wish it had a backlight you could activate when needed. And personally, I would like to see the time a little larger than the temps, rather than vice-versa. But still, overall, it is very nice.

Easy Reading thermometer

The only downside of this thermometer is that the min and max temp setting doesn't change automatically daily. You have to do it manually. Other than that, works great. Would recommend.

To much whiz and not enough bang.

The main Main unit worked fine. I'm still getting the inside temperature and the time. It's the outdoor sensor that worked for a while and then stopped working. I'm tempted to re-order but I'm on the fence right now. I really enjoyed the thermometer when it was functioning correctly.
