I just received this door mat so haven't had an occasion to wash it yet. I do worry that a rock might come loose from the netting which is white, but I wonder why they didn't use black netting which would be less noticeable. It's neat looking but has feel of being a little "amateurish." I was expecting a firm backing on a mat that arrived in a flat box but instead it was rolled up and I was very nervous unrolling it.

I bought this for our wood deck area leading into the indoors. Love the rustic and unusual look and the rocks on the webbing allow for drainage. I don't think I would buy this for indoor use, so reduced what would be a 5 star rating to 4.

I use the River Rock Mat in my bathroom, I like to step on it just out of the shower. Its comfortable and gets warm from the floor heater in the bathroom. Like others who reviewed this product, I wish I had bought 2 of them. When I received my order everything was intact, no rocks were loose. The off-white mesh that the rocks are glued to doesn't bother me as it blends in with the floor tile. I just wanted to try out the look, and this one was the most inexpensive one I found. It turns out, I like it very much and don't feel the need to find an alternative.

When the mat first arrived, a stone was in the bottom of the carton. I tried gluing it but was unable to get it to stick well using Monster Glue as well as Super Glue products. Since then, several others have come loose and I resorted to gluing fabric behind the netting for the ones that came off and gluing them to that. That is working although I would much prefer that they stick to the netting they came adhered to. I fear others will come off in addition to the three I've been working hard to fix!

Love this mat. The stones are very pretty and feel great on my feet. It's a wonderful addition to our new deck. The only disappointment is that the underneath netting is white and shows between the rocks.

WOW! This looked like a great mat,judging from pictures(and close-ups), and reviews. What I got was nothing like the pictures or description. The stones are "glued" on flimsy see through netting,[...] the glue sticks to itself through the mat. It could ruin a wood or tile floor, either from the glue or scratching from the rocks, because it is not a solid backing (as shown in pictures). The stones themselves are beautiful...too bad they are not attached as shown.

This river stone doormat is wonderful! The stones are attached very well; I bought 3 mats and have moved them all around, rinsed them off with the hose in the yard, and not 1 stone has come off. The only negative is that the mat is really heavy, but that is also a postive; it does not move when people use it. Another good thing is that it feels so good on bare feet; the stones are smooth and round, and it feels like a foot massage!

This mat was recommended by my Feldenkrais practitioner who specializes in body alignment and stress relief. I use it when I'm standing in the kitchen for long periods during meal preparation. The varying pressure on the nerves of the bottom of the foot relieves stress on the body in a way similar in concept to reflexology. I have arthritis and back issues. This is the best mat I've ever used in my kitchen, and I love the way it looks.
