Comments about Product: I bought this for myself before this past spring/ summer/ fall gardening season and have now bought another for a holiday gift. Seeing the cheerful blue extending upward from the copper tube just tickles me- especially during our recent drought.

Functional and Fun
Comments about Product: This would make a great gift! We have had one for years and finally it is not as accurate as it once was so moving old one to back garden and replacement to front and center.
Comments about Product: I purchased our first Floating Rain Gauge a year or two ago as a gift for my husband, and we've been very pleased with it. It is simple to use, move, and read, and it is attractive in our landscaping. I just ordered a second one recently for our vacation home - it helps us know whether we need to water our new landscaping each weekend. The product is durable, although we did put it inside last winter to avoid any problems with freezing water. The copper naturally ages, so our new gauge looks very different than the older one, but I like the look of both. This gauge is pricier than many you can find in home improvement stores, but it is well worth the money. We love it.
Comments about Product: This rain gauge is attractive but - unlike its description - is NOT clearly readable from a distance. We have had to place it close to the house. Also, it measures amounts of an inch or more clearly but small and trace amounts are not visible as the glass vial (containing a blue spongey substance) does not rise above the copper container.
Comments about Product: This is a beautiful rain gauge that will match any garden. My husband and I actually love it and it stays out all year long! Works great!
Comments about Product: I had the same problem with the sponge. I googled "rain gauge" and found the originator, [@]. They will sell you parts. 2 sponges for $9.75, free shipping. You can also buy the blue tube with the sponge already inside. It is tricky to get the sponge in. It seems too big, but will work.
Comments about Product: This is a great rain gauge. After years of using products that are difficult to read, or break after one season, we are so happy to have invested in this one. It not only looks good, but works well, and should last many years.
Comments about Product: I gave this as a Xmas gift and have not heard any feedback other than right after it was received. The recipient put it right outside and seemed to like it. I liked that it was attractive to look at in the yard and easier to read than many I saw online would have been. It seemed to be durable and a good long time gift and yard decoration as well as useful in a rainy climate. I was very happy.
Comments about Product: The unit was very attractive located in a planted area on our patio. We enjoyed it for several years until the material in the inside the plastic portion deteriorated and the cylinder no longer rose when rain was collected.

Best gauge I've ever had
Comments about Product: It's in a garden about 20 feet away from my living room window. When it rains I can see it work. Easy to keep clean, durable and a beautiful combination of colors and textures... not garish like most nor does it disappear.
Comments about Product: Is there anyway to replace the foam on the inside of the blue sleeve? It crumbled away and does not work without the floatation.
