      I have to replace the battery in my window thermometer every year so I was excited to find this solar-powered thermometer. And, when it arrived, I was even more excited to see how lovely it is. But, sadly, the lack of back-lighting or a design that allows light to filter through makes it so hard to read that it's very impractical.

      I placed it next to my battery-operated thermometer for comparison and am attaching a photo here. If they come out with a solar thermometer that has a different design, I'll be the first one to buy it.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
