Our elegant crane statues are cast in solid aluminum with a soft green patinaweather-resistant beauty for your pond or garden. These long-legged and long-necked birds are known for their long life, graceful visage and spectacular mating dance. They may conceivably be the oldest birds on earth - fossils prove their existence over 60 million years ago. A favorite origami subject, Asian folklore suggests that folding 1,000 paper cranes (the bird's fabled lifespan) will bring the artisan wisdom, longevity and happiness.

Comments about Product: I ordered the pair of cranes to accent my pondless waterfall feature. These are just what I wanted. Light weight, but tall enough to look natural. The only downside is no anchors were provided. I am going to need to work out a method to keep them from getting blown over. So until I get good weather and the supplies they are "living" in my guest bedroom. I have no way of knowing how well they will weather, but they are sturdy and were well packaged. The anchoring system might be difficult since I don't want to ruin the look of their feet in the process.
Comments about Product: I purchased two cranes in memory of my late husband as a memorial. They are absolutely stunning and the focus of attention. Thank you for such a quality product...
Comments about Product: Would like to see a better, more realistic "aged" patina. Needs to have optional posts to attach and secure 'in the ground' - However, the birds are a perfect size for sculptures in outdoor gardens, well made and priced right.
Comments about Product: I have the tall standing crane. It has withstood 30 mph winds from Hurricane Irene and a 5.8 earthquake and several aftershocks and never fell over.
