This was a gift and it was an immediate hit - there were oohs and ahs as it came out of the box. It's an eye-catching, out-of-the-ordinary bird statue that makes you smile just looking at it. There are no sharp points on the "feathers" so no danger of cuts. It's really adorable.

The picture in the catalog was actually more colorful than the bird I got. Other than that, it is cute. Be sure and note the size of this bird. I think it is acually priced a bit high for the size.
