Perfect for a deck or private pier, this nautical Solar- and Wind- Powered Sailboat Spinner is a seafarer's delight! During the day the colorful sailboats twirl in even the slightest breeze. At dusk the multi-spectrum LED beacon light turns on automatically and shines long into the night. Wind powers the internal generator both day and night while the solar panel is charged by sunlight. Sealed bearing provides dynamic movement in any weather conditions; light will charge and stay lit even in the winter months.
Boats feature high-density construction with wood grain texture and real nylon sails. Stainless steel post mount attaches to railings, decks and fence posts (mounting screws included). Glass beacon in center has alternating LED light, changes from red to green to blue. Easy assembly.

Comments about Product: I bought this at least three years ago and it is up all year. The lights are colorful all night and look especially beautiful when there is snow on the deck railing. It has gone through some pretty heavy winds and one sail now needs to be replaced. I also purchased one for a friend who lives on Pick Wick Lake and they love it also! It is quite fascinating to watch it spin!
Comments about Product: I love the sailboats but the sails are just not durable. I have had this for 1 year and been thru 2 sets of sails. the last set is about 6 months old and completely shredded. When the first set shred I called the company and they replaced them for free. Great customer service
Comments about Product: I am trying to find out if I can replace the sails as they have become tattered over the two years that I've had it. I've called the corporate office and left a message but got no response so far.
Comments about Product: We have tried various knots to tie the sails but they keep coming untied. When the sails are tied the sail boats whip around so fast it is a blur, so maybe it is best to tie only two of the 4 sails. Nicely designed and so colorful on the deck. FYI the light is not that bright and does not stay lit for more than 4 hours when it is dark.
Comments about Product: Love this spinner! Speacial Notes: 1) you need to find a good location where you'll get wind/breezes in order for it to work; 2) Just as a real sailboat, you need to adjust your sails: they must be loose enough in order to pick up the wind and spin, otherwise, you will think it doesn't work 3) tie your sails in four-square knots or they will untie. Once you have properly set up your Toland Sailboat Wind Spinner.. you will LOVE it!!! PS-in other reviews I've read, Toland guarantees in up to 50mph winds!
Comments about Product: A wonderful product. Sails lines need to be retied very tightly. After a year or so the sails would turn on the mast, changing the shape of the sails. I glued them to the mast and they have worked well for another year. Top row spin in light breeze. Bottom row are attached to a generator and take a little more wind. The longer it is up the better it works. After almost three years even the bottom turns nicely. I get lots of very positive comments.
Make sure you aim the solor cell to the most sun.
Comments about Product: We absolutely LOVE the product, but are VERY disappointed in the duration of lighting at night. On a GOOD night, the light lasts 30 minutes, most nights much less. Expected much more with the solar and wind power chargind.
Comments about Product: I loved the idea and the looks but it totally blew off after three days in heavy wind. It totally sheared off and fell into deep water...lost forever! A lot of money for it to just break off...regardless.
Comments about Product: I bought this for my husband's birthday. It is so much fun to watch and the lights are fun because they switch colors all night long. If it doesn't rotate freely for you at the slightest breeze, loosen the sails just a bit. They have to "snap" with the wind direction when they rotate. It will be a sad day when this ceases to work. We watch it every day! We live on the water so the breezes keep it moving constantly.
