This magnificent wall sculpture is a reproduction of an antique wood carving. American folk artisans in North Carolina cast the design in "pecan-shell" resin and hand sand and hand paint surfaces to mirror authenticity of the original wooden model. Artisan signed/dated. Easy assembly.
Comments about Product: Lovely heron wall sculpture; as pictured on line. Comes in two pieces: the body and the wing. Easy to assemble - comes with super glue and screw. You will need a phillips head screwdriver. I did have to scrape out some painted in shaved debris from one of the indentations in the body where the bump on the wing inserts into the indent to make a better fit, but that was easy. I used two hooks for the approximately 5" hanging slot on the back so it would hang level.
Comments about Product: We bought this to display on the outside of our summer cottage. Once we received it we loved it too much to risk it getting ruined by the elements.
It looks great on the wall inside. We've received lots of compliments and we love the colors and detail in the paint.
